Notice from the Highway Department: Temporary Suspension of TV/AC/Computer Monitor Pickups

From the Desk of Supervisor Fulgenzi

This is the annual reminder that the Highway Department will be suspending pick-ups of televisions, air conditioners and computer monitors for the months of November and December.  During this time, all crews must be allocated elsewhere to complete higher priority tasks prior to the winter months settling in. Should you need to dispose of such items during this time, please contact the Household Material Recovery Facility, located at 15 Woods Road in Valhalla, at (914) 813-5425 or visit their website http://environment.westchestergov.com/facilities/h-mrf for further assistance.

We also kindly remind residents that going forward, no items are permitted to be dumped at the Highway Department Facility under any circumstances. All leaf bags must be left curbside for pick-up and all other items must be disposed of through CRP Sanitation or the Household Material Recovery Facility.

Please feel free to contact the Highway Department at any time should you have any further questions and/or concerns (914) 769-1045.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
