Overview

The Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) is established under Chapter 14: Article II of the Mount Pleasant Town Code. Citizen participation working in partnership with local and state government and various other organizations is essential in providing and implementing a sound environmental program. The powers and duties of the CAC include, among other things, advising the Town Board on matters affecting the protection of the environment; developing and conducting programs for public education and information; coordinating, assisting, and unifying efforts of private groups and individuals; and working in cooperation with the Planning Board.
