Supervisor/Town Board Responsibilities |
The Supervisor is the chief elected official of the Town of Mt. Pleasant. The position of Supervisor is a two-year term, full-time position. The Supervisor is responsible for the administration of town government. Duties of the supervisor include: the administration of the Town's daily functions, budget preparation and control, treasury management and the renewal of notes evidencing short-term indebtedness. The Supervisor is also a member and the Chairman of the Town Board.
Councilmen and councilwomen are elected to four-year term, part-time position. The Town Board is the legislative and policy making board in the Town of Mt. Pleasant.
Meetings:
Every second and fourth Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. - meeting (except July and August - second Tuesday only)every first and third Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. - work session(except July and August- first Tuesday only) All Meetings are Open to the Public.
