All residents of the Unincorporated Town of Mount Pleasant who are at least 55 years old are eligible to participate in the senior citizens program which includes trips, crafts, cards, bingo, penny socials, exercise classes, art classes, pool tables and table games. Christmas and anniversary luncheons are held at area restaurants.The seniors meet through the Thornwood Neighborhood Group or the Pleasant Seniors of Mt. Pleasant. Dues are collected on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
